Extreme Stevia Pruning

When your stevia starts to bear flowers, it's time to prune them.

The one in front is a newly pruned stevia. Almost all of the leaves were taken for processing.

The one behind it has started to bear new leaves. This is one hardy herb.

What looks dead after pruning starts to regain life after several days...

  1. Sir... where can I buy a starter cuttings of stevia which is near here in Sorsogon City? I'm so much inspired to your organic farm, and I'm planning to adopt your system in my farm.

  3. Kapatid,

Ako po ay taga Lucban, Quezon. Paano po ba magagamit ang Stevia? Puede po ba 'tong pampatamis ng mga fruit shakes sa halip na sugar syrup? Salamat po!

  5. Magandang umaga,

Ako po si Manny taga Laguna po.
    Very nice and informative blog.

    Mabuhay kayo.

  9. My stevia isn't growing well! I've tried to grow it several times among the other plants. I think the summer heat is killing it.

  10. Stevia does better under the shade, but when they are exposed to direct sunlight, they produce the sweetest leaves. You just have to water them more frequently during summer.

  11. First... I would like to thank you Raymond for the cuttings that I bought to you in AANI, Circle. From 8 cuttings, I have now 24 cuttings.
Second... try to browse the following link regarding stevia worldwide trends...

Lastly... I hope that we can have a dedicated forum regarding stevia here in the Philippines.

  12. I'm so glad to know that your stevias are multiplying. :)

Thank you for the link, it was very informative. Happy to learn about the Stevia World event but sad to know that it costs almost 400 US dollars to participate, not to mention the transportation cost to Shanghai...

I'll be happy to share some info if there will be local forums about stevia or other organic gardening stuff.
