What you're looking at is more than 2kg of stevia powder. It takes about 500 grams of fresh leaves to make 100 grams of dried leaves. It took us a more than 2 weeks and more than 10 kilos of fresh stevia leaves, taken from more than 100 stevia plants to produce what you're seeing in this picture. Now, let me ask you, how much would you sell these?
If your stevia powder can be an alternative to commercial sweetener, you can sold it 500 PHP / oz. It would be more competitive to artificial sweeteners like Splenda, Equal and NutraSweet. Labelling would be a problem if you claim for a certain nutrient contents (e.g. organic, edible, aspartame free) of your product. Product labelling is very costly.

This comment seems too late :) I am just curious, did you just let the leaves dry then pound it?
ReplyDeleteHello Chalia,
ReplyDeletewe use a dehydrator to dry the herbs. then we use a food processor to grind them.
hello, i'm interested in stevia powder, how do you use it in coffee, does the powdered leaves dissolve?,
ReplyDeletethe powdered leaves doesn't dissolve in water, it only infuses with hot water, turning it green and sweet. you can then mix coffee or tea with that sweetened hot water.
